Scherzo Romantique

The song which was left,

No more amusement.

The friends which have left,

On the forgotten road.

I’ve left some words which I clearly knew –

When I was leaving – me myself.

I’ve left my courage,

So did my fear,

The clothes and shoes which have been left

have to be thrown away!

While leaving some things, I kept some of them,

Like ‘I love you.’

I love you dear family,

I love my parents, so much!

Same way, I love all my friends

Who shared their love with me!

Love you India, love the entire world!

This is a joke – still

I like everyone!

The prince which has left,

Of a long-forgotten Arabian palace.

 My violin and piano,

Have all left me!

The liters of sweat are now in the past

of some construction-site worker.

The politics – once dominant – has left

So have all my wrongs,

Forgotten all the false stories,

Told by the Bongs,

But still, while leaving, a few remained

like ‘I love you.’’

Love my neighbor,

Who views me – still – with green-eyed jealousy

Love the person

Who left me – never to return forever…

Love all my enemies

Who – everyday – conspire against me!

My anger has left me,

So did my fury.

All my long-term debts,

have left me for good.

That one ray of sunlight from a forgotten sky,

Where has it gone now?

Once ‘it’ is sweet, now ‘it’ turns bitter,

Nothing remains good – nowadays – forever,

Except for one thing – a three-word sentence,

That is, ‘I love you!’

Love the community

Where I live in,

Love the planet

Where my homeland is!

Love the place

Where people live harmoniously still!
