Being Black is a Sin
Shunned by people
Scorned by men,
Condemned by society
Suppressed by fiend,
In grief he asks, why man is mean,
'Cause being Black is a sin...
Being Black is a sin as great,
As the man who killed
Filled hearts with hate,
"His face brings thoughts
Of the horrors of life",
As claimed by the white man's wife...
Being black is a sin as great,
As the man who killed
Oh! Curse his fate,
He's born with a skin
Which has a shade,
Indeed a sin very great...
He knows it well
His unpardonable sin,
Oh! Curse his fate,
He has a dark skin,
But when they denied,
His right to breathe,
'Cause his hue fills,
The world with seethe,
Realised at last,
The dumb, fool man,
What great a sin he had made.....
