River Nile

Once upon a time so long

When the Earth was fit and strong,

There took birth a nation

Accepting whom was a hesitation

In Africa was there her room

She was shy lonely with no bloom

She would then all day cry -

Her company was always gloomy and dry

The Gods saw her misery from Heaven

And couldn’t bear to see land so barren ,

They went to the River God straight

And asked her to create

Happiness and joy for Egypt Miss

Which happened and made her pleased.

This gift upon her face was a smile,

And she named it - River Nile.
