Silent Night, bleak night,

All is still, all is dark...

Round yon grave stands the mother and child

Mourning the soldier, brave and who died

Rest in peace, dear brave man!

While the town shivers in fright...

 

Silent Night, dark night,

All is still, all is void...

Filled with sorrowed and mourning air,

Floating over the town, so bleak and bare...

Don't come out tonight, dear fellows!

'Tis a night full of dangers...

 

Silent Night, barren night,

All is bleak, no future strives..

Death, disease and destruction

The order of days, so violent n' cruel

Oh Lord, Oh Lord where are You?!

Save us from the monstrous ammunition...

 

Silent Night, bleak night,

The war so cold, toils days and nights...

Will there be peace? No one knows...

But surely someday, peace will cometh...

Rest in peace, brave soldier!

Rest in peace, dear war soldier...
