I want you
(Partially based on ‘Je te veux’ by Erik Satie)
I want you
Want you back,
Back where we spent those lonely nights,
Under the moonlight, beneath the stars,
Your eyes sang an unknown melody.
I want you
Want you back,
Back where the lake lies still,
The daffodils flutter in the sweet air,
Where we kissed, in the yellow-red horizon...
I want you, dear one
Want you back
Back in the days where love blossomed
Back down in the gray memory lane
The days seem to be a mere phantasy…
I want you,
Oh, I want you back!
Show me a sign of your return
I’ve waited scores of days and nights for you dear,
Oh, I so want you back!
Perhaps,
You may never come,
Driving me mad, making me forget
everything – my will to live completely broken,
My soul thus shatters into pieces!
The broken soul now again,
Traverses the dark alley called memory,
Where suddenly, a soft beam of light,
hits it. It calls out,
‘I want you…I want you…’
Thus, the time changed,
But you didn’t.
I died,
But the seeds of love didn’t, for they
still wait for your presence…
I want you,
Want you back, dear one.
Back where the moonlight rests in the nocturne,
Your eyes singing an unknown melody…
Your eyes singing an unknown melody…
