The Sinner
The society never accepts the unknown,
It just knows with what it has grown,
Grown to be the demon,
So that they can be the forever beacon.
They hate and avoid and mock,
The noise of insanity,
They laugh, they taunt,
They run away of the haunt.
They never let her live,
They pushed her to the darkest eve,
That is when she saw her,
The one they pulled her apart from,
There was she with her beloved.
I saw her,
I held her hands,
We conversed,
We were together,
A gust of wind blew,
And she ran away,
I couldn't afford to lose her,
I ran,
Ran after her,
Followed her through the ups and downs of the crooked path,
I ran...
The four men,
Came,
They stopped,
Stopped me,
I screamed,
I cried,
I called for help,
He touched my waist,
And I pierced the fruit knife in him,
He tied my feet,
I broke the flower vase on his head,
With the broken pieces of glass,
I attacked the other two,
They were dead.
I wanted to escape,
I wanted to run,
Because I couldn't lose her again,
For those men who stopped me,
She was out of my vision,
I was caged and lost,
I was blinded and suffocated,
When again I heard the fainting footsteps,
And smelled the same aroma,
Heard the same laughter,
And the same tinkling of the jhumkas,
There she was.....
With my hand outstretched,
And calling her name,
I followed again.
She jumped from the veranda,
And....
Even I did,
Met the end,
I was breathing the last breath,
My heart was about to stop,
When I turned my head,
And I saw her again,
She looked at me and laughed,
Pointed towards me,
She said ," you ran away",
She said ,"you are the coward, you ran away",
She held my hand,
I felt the touch I lasted for,
She was there,
Even I was,
It was an end.
I...I...
I killed the four men,
I failed the fight of my lover,
I killed myself,
I was an eloper,
I wasn't a criminal,
I was -
THE SINNER.
